So.. who is this Sami character, anyway?
Well.. I’m a ‘delusional’ guy (so I’ve been told), who believes that everyone (Yes. Everyone.) can be great by waking up to their own greatness and operate at 10X levels, using the right tools and knowledge to have the confidence, success, love, health and wealth that they deserve.
It all starts with going to bed better than you woke up (Samotivation’s Motto), i.e. making and taking conscious decisions and actions throughout the day, so that when you go to bed at the end of the day, you are a better, happier, confident and more powerful version of yourself.
I exhibit “NAÏVE”, “DELUSIONAL”, AND “UNREALISTICALLY OPTIMISTIC” behavior.
I aim higher and set higher standards for myself than most people. Sometimes that can make others feel uncomfortable with themselves and their present circumstances, so instead of taking responsibility for their lives they relinquish it by blaming and pointing the finger at me, forgetting there are 4 fingers pointing back at them.
Personally, I believe that cooperation will take you farther than competition and comparison, so I have focused my efforts on improving myself and becoming the best Sami I can be.
This has led me to host two successful radio shows (and then be featured in the newspapers after a professor mocked me for falling asleep in class since I’d wake up at 5AM and be ON AIR at 06.30AM, while everyone else was snug and warm in bed, successfully summit Africa’s highest mountain Mt Kilimanjaro and travel to St. Petersburg, and learn Russian in 2 months .
I also organized an event with the U.S. Ambassador to Bulgaria H.E. Herro Mustafa and Georgetown University, where we spoke about her time at Georgetown, her diplomatic career, what a job in foreign service entails and the circumstances that brought her and her family to the US.
My naïveté (gotta use a French word to highlight my sophistication) also led me to drive around Doha in a fancy sports car in this advertisement.
I am a snobby pseudo-sophisticated know-it-all graduate of one of the world’s top universities, Georgetown School of Foreign Service and was suspended for failing 3 classes my first year. I was told told I’d never graduate or get the grades I needed to continue studying there since there was “little to suggest that these are grades that (I) would be able to achieve” and that “there are lots of other universities in the world that teach lots of other interesting things, perhaps one of those (is) a better fit for (me).”
To end things in a cheesy way to follow social norms and trends, I saw and continue to see the angel in the marble and will continue carving until I sets the angel (and myself) free (just like Michelangelo, in case you are wondering!).
P.S: I made it to the Georgetown Dean’s list my final year.
TAKE THAT, HATERS.
Especially the one with the Ph.D! I should have printed 500,000 copies of that newspaper article and stuck copies all over your office.
Nah, I’m 26 now. Too old for petty childish acts. *prints copies and…* Nah, nevermind.
K. Bye.
