Today is my birthday and I have prepared a special podcast to celebrate it. We’ll look at the mindset that made Curtis Jackson, a.k.a. 50 Cent, 50 cent. The whole 9 yards and everything that took him from desperation, poverty and drug dealing at the age of 12 in the gang violence-plagued streets of Jamaica, Queens, New York to the world famous and successful rapper, songwriter, TV producer, actor and entrepreneur that he is today. A man that is living proof that you can make something big out of yourself, no matter where you come from, what your circumstances are or how challenging they may seem at the time. That you are capable of becoming something great regardless of the difficulties, the desperation, marginalization, racism, and even in the case of 50 being shot 9 times and no matter how many people keep telling you can’t do it and why it will never work out.
